An electrical explosion at a solid waste facility in North Arlington severely burned a worker on his face and side, authorities said. The 62-year-old victim from Paterson was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston following the mishap at the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission facility on Baler Boulevard shortly after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, Police Capt. UPDATE: A driver who set himself on fire while being pursued by Bayonne police has died, authorities said. Officers in an unmarked vehicle activated their lights and siren in an attempt to pull over the as-yet unidentified driver for several violations in the area of 54th Street and Broadway shortly before 11 p.m. July 13, Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Jersey Shore Burn Victims Airlifted To Hospital
Police, firefighters and EMS crews in Ocean County were called to help a pair of burn victims, authorities said. The emergency call came in about 3 p.m. on Wednesday at 112 Woehr Ave. in Lakewood, according to initial reports. At least one of the burn victims was a child and a Medevac helicopter was called to transport the patient to St. Barnabas Medical Center, according to an unconfirmed report.
