Destiny Esquilin, 26, was charged with second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal crash, the Washington Township Police Department said in a news release on Thursday, Nov. 21. Pedestrian, 58, Killed In South Jersey Hit-And-Run Crash: Police Police were looking for whoever killed a Turnersville man while walking on a Gloucester County road at night, authorities said. John DeMarco, 58, died in the hit-and-run crash on Monday, Nov. 4, the Washington Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the scene at around 8:09 p.m. Investigators said DeMarco was struck by an unknown vehicle while walking on the southbound side of Fries Mill Road near the intersection with Adele Drive.
