Whale Washes Up On NJ Beach
A whale washed up along the Delaware Bay in Lower Township, New Jersey, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, authorities said. The incident was first reported around 3 p.m. on Sunset Beach along the 500 block of Sunset Boulevard. Jersey Shore Mom Sentenced After Drunkenly Passing Out Led To Baby Son's Death: Prosecutors
A Lower Township mother will spend several years in prison after admitting to drinking more than a dozen miniature vodka bottles before her infant son suffocated in bed, authorities said. Michelle Stanton, 29, was sentenced to four years in state prison, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release on Thursday, Nov. 21. West Nile, EEE Detected In Eight Mosquito Groups In South Jersey
Cape May County leaders are issuing a warning after eight mosquito groups tested positive for West Nile virus and eastern equine encephalitis. Seven mosquito collections tested positive for West Nile and EEE was detected in another during June and July, the Cape May County Department of Health said in a news release on Monday, July 22.
