The Garden State continues to show why it's so star-studded. Three celebrities with New Jersey roots were among a number of entertainers selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. They are Kevin Feige, Jim Nantz and Jane Krakowski. Feige was raised in Westfield and graduated from Westfield High School. 19 Outbreak Among Teens Linked To Party In This Union County Town, Mayor Says
Several new COVID-19 cases among teens in one Union County town have been traced to a recent party, officials say. Westfield had gone two weeks without cases up until June 30. Since then, 17 new cases were reported. Most of Westfield's new cases are between ages 18 and 24 years old, and attended Fourth of July and graduation parties, Mayor Shelley Brindle said. Since Tuesday, there have been 10 new cases reported in Westfield, Brindle said. Five of seven positive cases reported Friday were between ages 17 and 19, she said. NJ Teacher Putting Math Puzzles In Her Window Every Day During Coronavirus Quarantine
Westfield High School math teacher Callie Campbell is used to starting every class with a joke. With schools closed and students learning virtually in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus, that changed. But Campbell's found a way around it. Campbell has been used poster board to write out math puzzles and jokes for the passing walkers and cars, and anyone on social media who happens to stumble upon her widely shared photos.
