Man, 54, Sentenced In Camden Girlfriend's 2010 Killing: Prosecutor
A Salem City man has been sentenced to 60 years in New Jersey State Prison for the 2010 killing of his 31-year-old girlfriend from Camden, authorities said.
Timothy Simon, 54, will have to serve 51 years of the sentence under the state's No Early Release Act. which requires Simon to serve 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole, they said.
On Feb. 15, 2023, a jury convicted Simon of first-degree murder in the death of 31year-old Lawanda Strickland, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.

Camden Man, 30, Dies Of Injuries From Shooting
Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in Camden, authorities said.
On Monday, Nov. 7, at 7:46 a.m., officers of the Camden County Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Jackson Street after receiving a 9-1-1 call, reporting that a man had been shot.
Officers and EMS personnel located the victim, identified as Ryan Hodge of Camden City, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
Hodge was taken to Cooper University Hospital and died on Wednesday, Nov. 9, they said.
