2 Dead, Driver Seriously Injured In Route 1 Linden Crash Two people were killed in a crash overnight on Route 1 in Linden, authorities said. A 2013 Infiniti Sedan was heading north when it struck a tractor-trailer turning left onto S. Stiles Street from the southbound lanes around 3 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, police said. One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a second passenger were both taken to Newark University Hospital with serious injuries, where the second passenger died.
