Woman Intentionally Set Apartment Ablaze After Argument: Linden PD
A 41-year-old Linden woman was arrested and charged with setting fire to her apartment on Saturday, Jan. 6, police said. At 8:30 p.m., Linden police and fire responded to 10 N. Wood Avenue for a fire in a 4th-floor apartment, police said. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour before it was extinguished, police said. Sandra Fils was arrested at the scene after an investigation determined she purposely started the fire after an argument with her roommate, police said. A new Wawa is opening with a very special guest. The convenience store is opening a new location on Linden on Thursday, August 24 at 1951 E. Edgar Road. Bradley Wright-Phillips, who played for the New York Red Bulls from 2013 to 2019 and has the most goals in Red Bulls history will be on hand to help open the doors at 8 a.m. Wally Goose, Wawa's mascot will also be making an appearance. Car Careens Into Linden Flower Shop Sending Victim Into Medical Episode
A driver who slammed his car through a Linden building caused a victim inside to suffer a medical episode Thursday, Aug. 18, authorities said. The Mazda sedan was heading east on E. St. George Ave when it lost control as it turned onto Adams Street around 3:35 p.m., police said. That's when the car went into the side of Charlie's Flowers and Gourmet Baskets, photos from the scene show. The vehicle occupants were not injured in the crash, however, a 46-year-old man inside the building suffered a medical episode and was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. …
