Three women, including a juvenile, recently reported being followed or approached by a suspicious man in Hackettstown, authorities said. Last weekend, two Centenary University students were accosted at West Moore Street near the Reeves Residence by an unknown man in an attempt to lure them into his vehicle, Hackettstown police said in a release. Drunken Driver, 19, Slams Into Traffic Pole, Runs From Crash Scene: Hackettstown Police
A 19-year-old drunken driver slammed into a traffic pole in Hackettstown and ran from the crash scene before dawn Sunday, authorities said. Bryan S. Morales-Mejia, of Mansfield Township abandoned his vehicle after crashing into a utility pole near 120 Grand Ave. in Hackettstown around 1:50 a.m., local police said in a Jan. 11 release. A responding officer later found Morales-Mejia running on Washington Street toward West Moore Street, police said. Police: Wrong-Way Driver Charged With DWI In Hackettstown
A 24-year-old woman was under the influence when police pulled her over for driving the wrong way in Hackettstown, authorities said. Brianna Devlin, 24, of Wharton swerved into the wrong lane when making a right turn from West Moore Street onto Washington Street Sunday around 2 a.m., Hackettstown police said. The vehicle was located on the 100 block of Valentine Street with Devlin standing outside, police say. During questioning, police say they detected an alcoholic odor.
