Pickup Truck Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into Wall At Busy Dover Intersection (Photos) A pickup truck driver was freed and taken to a nearby hospital after crashing into a wall at a busy intersection in Dover, authorities said. The Dover Fire Department responded to the crash at the intersection of West Blackwell and Prospect streets on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 28. Crew members stabilized the truck and extricated the driver by pushing the cab back with hydraulic tools, the department said. Bodies of the 17- and- 22-year-old Hispanic males were recovered from the waters of Mine Hill Beach in the evening hours, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. The pair had gone in with a group at the sand pits around 5:20 p.m. and never came out, launching an intensive search that was complicated by the vegetation below the surface. Dump Truck Driver Dies In Jefferson Route 15 Crash, Police Say A 70-year-old dump truck driver died in a Jefferson crash, authorities said. Gilberto Salazar, of Ledgewood, was trapped inside of his dump truck when it overturned on Route 15 northbound and Weldon Road around 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, Jefferson Police Lt. Robert Bush said. Officers extricated Salazar, who was transported to St. Clare's Dover Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Bush said. No other occupants were inside the overturned truck, police said.
