Driver Hurt In Crash That Backed Up Route 287: Update A driver was hurt in a crash that backed up traffic on Route 287 in Morris County on Thursday, April 27, state police said. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near milepost 39.4 in Hanover Township just before 9:05 a.m., NJSP Lt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. A Honda Accord veered off the left side of the roadway, hit the guardrail, and overturned. Driver Killed In Morris County Crash On Route 280: State Police A 58-year-old driver died in a Sunday morning crash on Route 280, authorities said. The crash occurred in the westbound lanes near milepost 2.2 in East Hanover around 11:25 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. A Hyundai passenger vehicle driven by Nathaniel Gardiner ran off the right side of the road and down a grass embankment before hitting a tree, Curry said. Gardiner, of Bloomfield, was killed in the crash. The incident remained under investigation. Additional details were not released.
