Body Found In Search For Missing 84-Year-Old South Jersey Man, Police Say (Developing) First responders found a body while searching for an elderly Galloway Township man who went missing, authorities said. The body was found about three-tenths of a mile east of the Port Republic Bridge, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a Facebook post on Monday, Dec. 9. The person wasn't identified as of press time. Police said the body matched the description of 84-year-old Alan Levin, whose family reported him missing on Saturday, Dec. 7. Body Found Floating In NJ River Police recovered a body from a New Jersey river early Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. Marine Service Troopers were dispatched to the Raritan River and South River in East Brunswick around 7:40 a.m., where they found a man's body floating in the water, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. No further information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.

Body Recovered From Delaware & Raritan Canal In Mercer County First responders were pulling a body from the Delaware & Raritan Canal in Mercer County on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, authorities said. New Jersey State Park Police and the Trenton Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team were called to a part of the canal in Lawrence Township to recover the body, according to Caryn Shinske, a spokeswoman with the state Department of Environmental Protection. A medical examiner was en route to the scene at 2:15 p.m., she said.  Additional details weren’t immediately available.
