A suspect chased into New Jersey by the NYPD was in serious condition after jumping from a bridge on Route 80 in Bogota, authorities said. The man apparently was selling catalytic converters and robbed a would-be buyer in the Bronx when city police tried stopping his vehicle around 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, they said. Stuck In The Mud: Rescuers Retrieve Three Stranded In Hackensack River
Rescuers had to retrieve a trio of boaters who got stuck in the low-tide mud in the Hackensack River. The three got stuck near dusk Tuesday just off River Road in Teaneck. Fatal Crash: Motorcyclist Ejected Off Route 3 Bridge Into Hackensack River
A 28-year-old motorcyclist from Paterson was killed late Tuesday when he was ejected off a Route 3 bridge into the Hackensack River in Secaucus, responders said. Firefighters from Secaucus and East Rutherford recovered the body of the as-yet unidentified victim near the Clarion Empire Meadowlands Hotel south of the bridge about a half-hour after the 11 p.m. crash, they said.
