Police Talk Atlantic City Woman Down From Wanting To Kill Store Clerk A knife-wielding woman was arrested after attempting to rob a store and threatening to stab the South Jersey clerk, authorities said. At 7:01 p.m. on Tuesday, Atlantic City Police Officers Valmir Loga and Christopher Dodson responded to Ocean Body Oil in the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue on a report of a woman armed with a knife refusing to leave the store, police said. As the officers arrived, the 28-year-old woman, Octavia Watson, was still inside the store with a knife in her hand, according to police. Atlantic City Pedestrian Struck, Killed A 66-year-old woman from Atlantic City was struck and killed by a vehicle as she crossed the road, authorities said. Atlantic City patrol officers responded to Tennessee and Atlantic Avenues at 4:12 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a police department spokesman. Officers arrived to find Jill Collette suffering from serious injuries, according to Fair. Just before midnight on Thursday, patrol officers responded to mile marker 55 in the westbound lanes of Route 30 on a report of a one car motor vehicle crash, police said. Atlantic City Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and located an unoccupied vehicle in the marsh, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a police department spokesman.
