7 Sex Offenders From South Jersey, Pennsylvania, Did Not Report New Addresses, Prosecutor Says
Seven convicted sex offenders from South Jersey and Pennsylvania have been indicted for moving without telling law enforcement, authorities said. Four of the seven registered sex offenders (shown above) have been newly charged and are in custody, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. Three of the men remained at-large as fugitives on Friday. Prosecutor: Brooklyn 'Farmer' Illegally Grew $725K Worth Of Marijuana In Burlington County
A 57-year-old man from Brooklyn has been charged with running a large-scale marijuana-growing operation at a Burlington County farm, authorities said. The pot farm was discovered on rented property by a township assessor after the owner sought a tax break. Weiming Liu, 57, was charged with first-degree manufacturing marijuana in a quantity of 25 pounds or more and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Chesterfield Police Chief Kyle Wilson. State Police: South Jersey Woman Illegally Gave Sick Puppy Prescription Drugs
A 46-year-old woman from Burlington County has been arrested for giving medicine to a sick puppy while falsely claiming to be a member of an animal rescue group, authorities said. Dawn Abrams, 46, of Shamong was charged with impersonation, unlicensed practice of medicine and unlawful distribution of prescription drugs, according to New Jersey State Police Superintendent Patrick J. Prosecutor: South Jersey Mother Created Fake GoFundMe Accounts For 'Dead' Son, 'Premature' Baby
A 33-year-old woman from South Jersey created a fictitious GoFundMe campaign to raise "funeral money" for her 4-year-old son, "who she claimed died of cancer," authorities said. She also created multiple online fundraising accounts for other fake causes, they said, seeking more than $11,000 total.
