Details Released In Deadly Dump Truck Crash In North Jersey Town Authorities have released details in a dump truck crash on Route 31 in Clinton Township that left one person dead on Tuesday, June 18. A 66-year-old man was operating a dump truck that collided with a Toyota sedan driven by a 64-year-old woman around 2:20 p.m. in front of Riley and Jake's Restaurant, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said. Both vehicles were heading north. The Toyota then entered the southbound lane and collided with a Volkswagen, operated by a 17-year-old girl. Dump Truck Flips Injuring Driver On I-195 (Updated) There was a crash with injuries involving an overturned dump truck on Interstate 195, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 on I-195 westbound East of Exit 7 in Robbinsville, according to the NJDOT. A dump truck lost directional control, ran off the roadway to the right, struck a tree, and overturned, New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the dump truck was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, State Police said.  The crash remains under investigation.

I-287 Southbound Closed After Truck Flips, Dumping Dirt In Central Jersey (Photos) A dump truck overturned closing all southbound lanes of Interstate 287 in Central Jersey in a multiple-vehicle crash, authorities said. The crash occurred at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at milepost 1 in Metuchen, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a spokesman for the the New Jersey State Police. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash including a dump truck that overturned and spilled dirt across the roadway, Curry said. No serious injuries were reported and I-287 was re-opened approximately 2.5 hours after the crash occurred, he said.
