A dog named Daisy got her head stuck in a tire rim but was freed by first responders in Gloucester County, authorities said. Initial efforts to free the dog with soap and water on Thursday, March 21 were unsuccessful, Franklinville Volunteer Fire Co. Firefighters shared a 7-minute clip of the rescue process. The dog was wrapped in a blanket as Franklin Township Police Lt Brandon Volpe used his personal plasma cutters to free Daisy from the rim. Sudden Death Of NJ District's Former Superintendent Spreads Shock, Sadness
A New Jersey school district is mourning the loss of its former superintendent. Miguel Hernandez, 58, was currently serving as interim assistant principal at Manchester Regional High School in Passaic County, after retiring as superintendent in 2021. He died on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 58. In response to Hernandez's passing, the school district held an early dismissal on Monday, Nov. 13. Dog In 'Crazy Rescue Ladies' Hoarding Case Reunited With Her Tennessee Owners
One of the 180 animals rescued last month from an alleged Jersey Shore puppy mill was reunited with its original owners from Tennessee on New Year's Eve. Two women who call themselves "Crazy Rescue Ladies" on social media were charged after authorities found the neglected dogs and cats living in unsanitary conditions in their Jersey Shore home last month, police said.
