NJ Lottery Players Win $50K In Powerball, Jackpot Climbs To $214M
Two lucky New Jersey Lottery players each won $50,000 in the Wednesday, Nov. 27, Powerball drawing, officials announced. The winning tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. They were sold at Old Bridge Card Smart on Route 9 in Middlesex County and Archie’s Liquor on Main Avenue in Passaic, Passaic County. The winning numbers were 01, 06, 07, 13, 40, with the Powerball 05 and a Powerplay multiplier of 5X. Vehicle Flips, Closes Route 9 In Central Jersey (

Route 9 in Middlesex County was closed after a vehicle overturned, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23 on the northbound ramp to Route 440 in Woodbridge, according to the NJDOT. All lanes were closed,, 511nj.org reported. Check back for updates.

Overturned Truck Causes Traffic Nightmare On New Jersey Turnpike
An overturned truck on the New Jersey Turnpike has snarled the afternoon commute to halt on Friday, May 3. The truck overturned by Exit 13A of the New Jersey Turnpike near Newark Liberty International Airport and Routes 1 and 9 in Elizabeth, according to 511nj. The left shoulder is blocked and delays are extending three miles from Kearny to Newark, 511nj said. Traffic cameras showed vehicles creeping along the highway as of press time.

Details Released In Parkway Crash That Killed Monmouth U Student Returning From Work Shift
Daily Voice has obtained details about the crash that killed an 18-year-old Monmouth University student last week. Madison Alfano of Staten Island, NY, lost control of her car and hit the driver's side of another vehicle on the northbound side of the Garden State Parkway in Sayreville around 7:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Alfano's car went into another lane and she was hit by an oncoming pickup near mile marker 125.6, just south of the exit for Route 9 and New Jersey Route 35, McNair said. When a Massachusetts woman contacted federal authorities to report a man claiming to be one of them and asking for $330,000 in gold bars, they came up with a plan that would turn the tables and ultimately land the Jersey City imposter in police custody. Colts Neck Football Lineman, Parents Die In Route 9 Crash
Three family members have died as a result of a weekend crash on Route 9, authorities said. Masoud B. Salib, 61, and his wife, Hanaa I. Salib, 52, died on Sunday, July 3, while their son, Mark M. Salib — a former Colts Neck football lineman — died on Tuesday, July 5, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said. The Salibs are survived by another son, Danny.
