Alexa Lee Dubiel, a 30-year-old Ringwood resident, died on Friday, Sept. 20, according to her obituary from the Kimak Funeral Home website. Alexa, formerly of Ridgefield Park, was an artist, who modeled clothes for RevMatch and participated in a campaign to be Inked Magazine's 2022 cover girl, her Instagram page show. She is being remembered for her artistic talent, love of animals and going fishing with her dad and going to the beach with her mom, according to her obituary. Police ID Missing Fisherman Found Dead In NJ Lake
Police have identified the fisherman who went missing and was later found dead in a New Jersey lake. Valeri Malov, of Pine Brook, had gone fishing in the body of water behind an industrial complex on Chapin Road Saturday morning, Aug. 24, Montville Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said. Responding officers found his fishing equipment on the shoreline and began a search of the area. Malov's body was found the following day around 8:50 p.m. in the water, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Caggiano said. He had served as a firefighter for the Edison Township Fire Department for 30 years before retiring in May 2022. Authorities have identified the two fishermen who drowned New Year's Weekend at Split Rock Reservoir. The bodies of Stanislaw Grezesik, 64, of Clifton, and Tadeusz Florczuk, 76, of Passaic, went on the ice fishing trip at Split Rock Reservoir in Kinnelon on Friday, Dec. 30 — but never returned home, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. A father and son from Pennsylvania got the surprise of a lifetime from a humpback whale while fishing on the Jersey Shore — and they got it on video. Zach Piller, 23, of Bensalem, took his phone out to capture his dad Doug's catch while fishing off coast of Belmar on Wednesday, Oct. 12. A Hunterdon County man recently set a new record for the largest landlocked salmon catch in the state, officials confirmed. Joe Satkowski of Hampton caught the fish in Merrill Creek Reservoir on Sept. 30, the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife said.
