Passenger, 24, Killed In Crash Off NJ Highway: Prosecutor
A 24-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in West Orange on Tuesday, Oct. 29, authorities said. First responders arrived at Pleasant Valley Way and Belle Terre Road near the Route 280 ramp at 11:59 p.m. and saw multiple injuries at the scene, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and Joe Fagan, the public information officer for the city of West Orange said. Floribel Hiciano was sitting in the rear of one of the two cars at the time of the crash, authorities said. She was taken to University Hospital where she died, authorities said. Truck Overturns On New Jersey Turnpike In Kearny:

A tractor trailer overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike in Keary on the late morning of Tuesday, Sept. 17, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The truck overturned following a crash on the turnpike at the Western Spur northbound exit ramp at Interchange 15W by Route 280, the Department of Transportation said. The right shoulder is blocked as a result of the crash, the DOT said.

Crash Shuts All Lanes Of Route 280
A crash closed all lanes of Route 280 during Tuesday morning, Aug. 27 rush hour in Newark. The NJDOT site shows a crash on the eastbound ramp to Exit 13, with all lanes shut as of 8:20 a.m. Daily Voice has reached out to police for details.

Motorcyclist Killed After Being Ejected, Run Over In Route 280 Crash: Police (

A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an early-morning crash on Route 280 in Hudson County, police said. Kyle Silas, of Orange, was heading west on a Fly Wing electric motorcycle when he struck a Ford sedan near milepost 16 in Kearny around 4:35 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Silas was ejected then run over by a Dodge, Lebron said. He died as a result of the accident.

Overturned Dump Truck, Crash With Injuries Close Two Major Highways In North Jersey
Two crashes caused delays on two major highways in North Jersey during morning rush hour Tuesday, July 2. One involving an overturned dump truck closed two eastbound lanes east of Exit 47A in Montville on Route 80. Route 280 traffic July 2. NJDOT The other involved a crash with injuries on Route 280 in Newark. That crash happened in the westbound lanes near Exit 14E. Delays were being reported into Harrison. This is a developing story. Car Fire Shuts Route 280, DOT Says
A vehicle fire closed a portion of Route 280 Monday evening, June 24 in Essex County. Emergency response vehicles were at the scene in Orange as of 7:45 p.m. Two right lanes on the eastbound side just east of Exit 11 were closed.
