Pedestrian, 79, Struck By SUV, Killed On South Jersey Road: Police A man was killed when he was hit by an SUV while walking along a road in Gloucester County, authorities said. The 79-year-old Turnersville man in the crash on Thursday, Dec. 5, the Washington Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the scene on the eastbound side of Ganttown Road at around 5:14 p.m. Investigators said a blue Kia Sportage struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the roadway. Pedestrian With Medical ID Bracelet Killed In Front Of South Jersey Hospital, Police Say A Gloucester City man wearing a medical identification bracelet was struck by a pickup and killed in front of a Washington Township hospital, authorities said. George West, 69, died in the crash on Hurffville Cross Keys Road on Monday, Nov. 11, the Washington Township Police Department said in a news release.
