Troy Kee II was charged on Wednesday, Oct. 25 with death by auto and assault by auto, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. Kee was also issued several motor vehicle summonses.
On Sept. 25 at 7:53 p.m., Camden County Police officers were dispatched to Mt. Ephraim Avenue and Ferry Avenue for a motor vehicle accident involving two child bicyclists. Officers found that the two female child bicyclists were struck by the vehicle. The vehicle remained on location.
The 12-year-old female child was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The 14-year-old female child was transported to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition, and she has been released.
Further investigation was completed with the assistance of the Camden County Prosecutor’s OfficemCrash Response Investigation Team and New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit, and it wasmdetermined that Kee was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of impact.
