Update: Man, 55, Killed On Bicycle Near Jersey Shore Intersection Identified Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died when an SUV struck him in West Long Branch. John Martin of Long Branch was killed in the crash, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said on Tuesday, Dec. 3. He was 55 years old. West Long Branch police responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 36 and Monmouth Road just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30. Update: Pedestrian Identified In Deadly Route 9 Crash Along Jersey Shore Authorities have identified the Howell Township man as the pedestrian struck by an SUV and killed. Frank Santomauro, 71, died in the Route 9 crash, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The wreck happened near Strickland Road on Saturday, Nov. 30.
