'Miracle of Morristown:' How Woman Who Lost Leg After Being Struck By Train Saved Her Own Life Lisa Fitzgerald was two weeks shy of her birthday and commuting to New York when she lost her leg after being struck by train in Morristown on Saturday, May 4.  Fitzgerald was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said.  She saved her own life by pulling herself off the train tracks, onto the platform and screaming for help, according to a fundraiser set up to support Fitzgerald. Shooting At Glen Rock Basketball Court: One Wounded, Law Enforcement Responds In Numbers π—¨π—£π——π—”π—§π—˜: Unable to produce any suspects in the shooting of a 23-year-old Paterson man at an outdoor basketball court in Glen Rock, authorities turned to the public for help. What locals described as a larger-than-usual crowd at Wilde Memorial Park courts off Maple Avenue had gathered for what borough officials said was an unauthorized basketball tournament Tuesday evening, May 21. Shortly before 7:30 p.m., shots were fired.
