'We Gave It Everything': Dog-Themed Bar Permanently Closing In Atlantic City A Philadelphia bar and restaurant is shutting down its Atlantic City location a little more than a year after opening near O'Donnell Memorial Park. In a Facebook post on Monday, Aug. 5, Good Dog Bar announced it was permanently closing its restaurant at 3426 Atlantic Avenue. The bar's final day of operation is Sunday, Aug. 11. Twenty-eight people across 12 states had been sickened between late May and mid-July, the CDC says. The deaths occurred in New Jersey and Illinois, health officials said.
