YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Yorktown police were called Monday evening to the Macy's on Lee Boulevard after store employees reported they had two 17-year-old girls who allegedly had been caught shoplifting.
When police arrived, they determined the teens had been working together to take items of clothing valued at nearly $370, police said. A further investigation found both teens were in possession of fake drivers' licenses, police said.
The two were taken into custody and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument. They were released on their own recognizance into the custody of a parent.
They are due to appear in court Nov. 12.
