YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged two residents of Yorktown Heights with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Officers responded to the area of Ivy Knolls Park after receiving a complaint from a local resident reporting possible drug activity within the park on Tuesday, May 10, at approximately 5:17 p.m., police report.
Police arrived on the scene and found the two suspects, identified as Robert M. Loftus, 24, and Erik R. Migliore, 23, just outside the park, according to officials.
The suspects were accused of being in unlawful possession of ketamine, police report.
The two men were arrested; each has been charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, according to officials.
Following arraignment, Loftus was sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections, on $10,000 cash bail, police report.
Migliore was sent to the facility on $5,000 cash bail, according to police.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, police report.
