YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Somers man wanted for bail jumping has turned himself in to authorities, Yorktown police said.
Stephen R. Bauer, 20, who lives in the hamlet of Granite Springs, was arrested at police headquarters on Thursday, March 24, and charged with third-degree bail jumping, a misdemeanor, police said.
Bauer was originally charged in 2014 with possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief, police said.
When Bauer failed to appear in court as scheduled, a warrant was issued for his arrest, police said.
Bauer was sent to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail, police said.
He is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, March 31.
