YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A man was arrested and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree in Yorktown last week after police say he violated an order of protection.
Francis Baba, a 25-year-old Torrington, Conn., resident was arrested and charged with the Class A misdemeanor after police received a report of a domestic incident. An investigation revealed Baba had violated the order of protection by calling the protected party.
Baba turned himself into police on July 13. Another temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
Baba was unable to post bail and was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He is due back in court on July 27.
