Police Investigate Damage Done To High School Field In Westchester

Police are attempting to track down a driver who defaced a field at a high school in Westchester.

Investigators at the Scarsdale Police Department received a report at approximately 9 a.m. on Friday, March 15, from a complainant who said that the field had sustained damage overnight.

Police said that an unknown driver damaged the grass on the practice field across from the track and damaged the grass on the traffic island located near the new gym entrance.

According to police, the caller reported the field was intact the day before at approximately 3 p.m. The damage consisted of tire marks that were made by an unknown vehicle that was driving over the curbs and entering the fields and island.

There was no video or witnesses to the criminal mischief incident. The repairs to the field are expected to cost approximately $2,500. The incident remains under investigation.
