An officer observed a vehicle on Route 6 that was smoking and had heavy front end damage, police said. After a traffic stop, further investigation revealed he was intoxicated, police said. Christopher Hamilton was also charged with driving with a suspended license and for refusing to take a breathalyzer test, police said.
He was arrested and transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing and was released on $250 bail. He is due back in court on Sept. 12.
