Yorktown Police Arrest Bronx Woman for Stealing Thousands from Elderly

YORKTOWN, N.Y.—A Bronx woman was arrested last week after she allegedly stole thousands of dollars from an 81-year-old woman.

Yorktown Police investigated a larceny that occurred at Wells Fargo Bank in Shrub Oak on October 24 where the woman, Carolyn Robinson, 48, allegedly used an 81-year-old victim's debit card to withdraw $9,000 from her bank accounts from August to September 2011. Robinson voluntarily responded to Yorktown Police Department on December 1 where she was arrested on the charge, and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.

Robinson is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m.

Other news from the Yorktown Police Department:

-       Alexander Cameron, 57, of Barberry Rd. in Yorktown was charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. Yorktown Police report Cameron allegedly assaulted a Barberry Rd resident and then fled the scene on Dec. 4 at around 9:45 a.m. Police located him at about 2 p.m. that day and he was placed under arrest. Cameron was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.

-       37-year-old Mohegan Lake resident, Christopher Casatelli, is charged with criminal contempt and criminal mischief, misdemeanors. Police responded to a call on Dec 3 at 9:30 a.m. of a domestic dispute on Scofield Rd. where Casatelli allegedly verbally harassed a Scofield Rd. resident, in violation of a duly served order of protection issued by the Yorktown Justice Court, and allegedly damaged property. Yorktown Police list Casatelli’s address as being on Scofield Rd. as well. Casatelli was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 6 at 6 p.m.

-       Mahopac resident Robert McMahon, 23, was charged by Yorktown Police for aggravated unlicensed operation and improper red lights. Police report that on December 1 at 11:40 p.m. police observed McMahon driving a white Lexus with improper red lights affixed to the vehicles rear bumper. A computer check at the scene also revealed McMahon’s New York State driver’s license was suspended. McMahon was arrested at the scene and issued traffic summons for the charges being released on $80 bail. He is due to answer the charges in Yorktown Court on December 22 at 6 p.m.
