A 44-year-old woman will spend nearly a decade behind bars after she and a co-conspirator followed a woman home from a Westchester grocery store, pulled a gun on her and robbed her.

Mirabai Sheridan, of the Bronx, was sentenced to eight years in state prison after pleading guilty to first-degree robbery and conspiracy dating back to a push-in robbery at a New Castle home last year with the help of Philip Budin, who allegedly acted as a getaway driver.

Budin and Sheridan spotted their victim at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 last year, at DeCicco’s in Millwood, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., said. They then proceeded to follow her to her Pond Hill Road home in Chappaqua.

While carrying a bouquet of flowers, Sheridan approached the door of the home, armed with a gun, the DA said.

She forced her way inside and restrained her victim’s hands and wrists with plastic ties and stole items from the house while Budin waited in the car as a getaway driver, according to Scarpino, who noted that at the time of the armed robbery, there was a child home.

On Nov. 14 last year, Sheridan and Budin were found in Mamaroneck as they followed another potential victim who was shopping at a local grocery store, Scarpino said. The two were pulled over and arrested during the traffic stop. At the time of the stop and their arrest, there was a gun inside the car, Scarpino said.

Budin pleaded guilty earlier this year and was sentenced to five years’ probation and restitution.
