YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Somers resident Bruce Apar, who works in Yorktown is Daily Voice's community advisor for its Yorktown and Somers sites.
Community advisors provide the Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.
Apar is a Hudson Valley media personality and community organizer whose Bruce The Blog weekly commentary appears in several Northern Westchester periodicals and at BruceTheBlog.com.
Apar is proprietor of APAR All-Media, a full-service agency for marketing, content and promotion, and is on the foundation board of New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.
Apar is the host of two weekly cable TV programs, “Hudson Valley WXYZ” and "Grace Notes" with Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace.
Apar served as the founding president of Yorktown Organizations United and Harrison Apar Field of Dreams Foundation. In 2010, he was named Citizen of the Year by the Yorktown Lions Leo Club.
Apar has served on the boards of the New York Press Association and Yorktown Chamber of Commerce.
From 2006 to February 2015, he was with Chase Media Group, where he served as editor-in-chief and publisher of North County News, and had various other positions in content, social media and marketing.
