Whether it’s gradual or dramatic, losing one's locks can be both startling and depressing.
It’s at this time that folks such as Flora Fuentes can step in with much-needed support.
Fuentes, owner of Unique Hair Concepts in Ardsley, counts men, women and children among her clients.
Fuentes says she and her staff are especially cognizant of the emotional aspects of hair loss and work with each client to make sure they not only look, but feel, like themselves again.
Only 17 when she first started working in the business, Fuentes relies on her 20-plus years of experience to come up with the best color, cut and style for her custom wigs.
“We are dedicated to helping all our clients feel beautiful, both on the inside and outside,” she said.
“Undergoing cancer and the various therapies that go along with it is not easy. Being able to help our clients feel and look like themselves again is truly an honor,” she said.
