The Grand Opening included tours of the building's three floors, snacks from the Poughkeepsie Open Kitchen, a look at North River Roasters coffee (on the first floor), visits with resident artists, and a look at the studio and one-bedroom apartments in the space.

Hudson River Housing headed the seven-million dollar rejuvenation project, which also features the Mid-Hudson Heritage Center, a Cultural and Community Center. And yes, it was an underwear factory 100 years ago.

The first floor includes the Poughkeepsie Open Kitchen, North River Roasters, Coffee House and Community Hub and residential apartments. On the second floor are more apartments and the PUF Studios. The third floor has Spark Media Project and Mill Street Loft Arts, and residential apartments.

Watch the video to get a look at the project, and hear comments from visitors, as well as Hudson River Housing's Elizabeth Celaya.

The Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory is located at 8 N. Cherry Street in Poughkeepsie.
