Angel’s Recipe Ice Cream & Crepes, 312 Central Ave., Jersey City. Online ice cream snobs swear Angel’s does not disappoint. Enjoy the handcrafted ice creams and crepes together or separately. With 8 different vanilla flavors on the menu, America’s favorite is well-represented.
Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato Co, 150 Bay St., Jersey City and 153 1st St., Hoboken. Small-batch gelatos made from scratch are a specialty here, as the name suggests. It may not technically be ice cream, but Bucket & Bay comes up a winner on several online sites for frozen treats. Outdoor seating and rotating flavors make this a hotspot.
