YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Support Connection in Yorktown Heights will be hosting its 11th annual Celebrate Life Day party Sunday, June 7 in Ossining.
The party also coincides with National Cancer Survivors Day, according to a press release.
This year’s party will include lunch, music and entertainment.
Several people are scheduled to give motivational speeches, including Nancy Heller and Joe Madigan.
Heller is Support Connection’s co-founder and board president and a 30-year breast cancer survivor.
Madigan, a Support Connection volunteer, is married to Theresa – a seven-year breast cancer survivor.
Approximately 150 people attended last year’s Celebrate Life Day.
The program is free for anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis at some point of their life.
Family members, friends and other supporters will be asked to pay $35 each to offset the costs of the program. Advanced registration is required.
Celebrate Life Day will be from noon to 3 p.m. at The Travelers Rest, 25 Saw Mill River Road, Ossining.
