Somers Library Gaming Club: 3 p.m. The Somers Library hosts the Gaming Club where kids can play games on the Nintendo Wii, card games and board games. This club is always open to new members throughout the school year and is intended for Middle and High School students

Yorktown Annual Mother's Day Plant Sale: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Garden Club of Yorktown hosts its annual plant sale Saturday in front of Suburban Wines at 379 Downing Drive in Yorktown Heights. Perennials, annuals and Mother’s Day gifts will all be available at the sale.
Team Flop Girl Supports Relay For Life: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Relay For Life fundraiser known as Team Flop Girl starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at the A&P Supermarket at the Triangle Center, 100 Triangle Center, in Yorktown Heights. Purchase the pink ribbon flip flops plain for $10 or choose from the "box of bling" and decorate for $15. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Somers College Application Essay Day: 1 p.m. Join the group to learn about the process of writing a great college application essay. Annual Concert for Cancer At Lakeland: 6:30 p.m. Doors open for the fifth annual Concert For Cancer at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. at Lakeland High School. The concert will feature talented performers from the area, raffles, and refreshments. All proceeds will benefit Support Connection, a Yorktown-based organization that provides free and confidential services to women with breast and ovarian cancer. Lakeland High School.

Mother’s Day Race At FDR State Park: 9 a.m. Check-in for the Mother’s Day Race at FDR State Park starts at 7:45 a.m. with the race set to begin at 9 a.m. Day of race registration is $20. Mother/daughter teams can compete. Part of the registration fee will go toward the Taconic Road Runners Club scholarship fund. FDR State Park,Yorktown Heights.
