Lanes Closed On Central Park Avenue In Yonkers Due To Crash, Police Say

A stretch of Central Park Avenue is closed in Yonkers as police investigate a crash in the area.

The Yonkers Police Department issued an alert at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 warning that southbound Central Park Avenue at Midland Avenue has been reduced to one lane and the westbound entrance to the Cross County Parkway is closed.

Police said that the lane closures are due to a motor vehicle crash and police activity at the scene. The investigation at the scene is expected to last several hours and commuters have been advised to plan alternate routes in the area, police noted.
