Yonkers Hoops League Holds Tryouts For Upcoming Season

YONKERS, N.Y. -- TCBL Basketball League for eighth-graders is hosting tryouts for its upcoming season Thursday, Oct. 16, from 7-8:45 p.m. at Palisade Prep High School Gym at 201 Palisade Ave.

TCBL is the Tri-County Basketball League for youths in grades three to eight. It runs the duration of the high school basketball season (December through March). Games are generally played on weekends and are limited to town borders or school districts for approved participants.

It is a 14-game season (each team plays seven home games) plus playoffs and championship. Teams travel far south as Yonkers and far north as lower Duthchess County.
