YONKERS N.Y. The Yonkers Board of Education is now accepting applications to fill three positions for Trustee of the Yonkers Public Library.
Paresh Patel, president of the Yonkers Board of Education, announced that one position is for a term expiring on Dec. 31, 2013, with the other two for terms expiring on Dec. 31, 2017.
Some of the trustee's responsibilities will include the hiring of a library director, preparation and oversight of the library budget, salary schedule and employee benefits.
Applicants should have a strong interest in the library and recognition of its importance as a center of information and recreation. The positions don't come with any compensation. The deadline to complete an application is Nov. 30, 2012. Applications are available in the office of Beverly A. Jessamy, secretary to the Yonkers Board of Education, One Larkin Center, Yonkers.
