Human Rights Commission Honors Yonkers Students

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Ten Yonkers Public Schools students were recognized at the recent City of Yonkers Human Rights Commission breakfast celebrating “Human Rights and Our Youth.

The students wrote essays that expressed vision and dreams about the dignity of all humanity.

The students recognized were:

Winners: Tiffany Gonzalez, Yonkers Middle High School; Emily Nunez, Yonkers Montessori Academy; and Charles Restivo, Yonkers Montessori Academy

Honorable mention (all Yonkers Montessori Academy): Elsa Dedi, Alexa Familia, Pamela Guerrero, Loren Portillo, Me'Lia Ramos, Juliana Sebben, Alfred Tignonsini
