The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert Friday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 48-year-old Maurice Nunez, who has moved to an apartment on Randolph Street in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Nunez a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He is also designated as a predicate sex offender, which means he has been convicted of multiple sex offenses.

He was arrested by the California Department of Justice Sex Offender Registry Unit and sentenced to three years in prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers Police Department Sex Offender Registry Unit.
