Norwalk Teen Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend, Her Father In Break-In

NORWALK, Conn. -- An 18-year-old Norwalk man has been charged with third-degree assault after he was accused of breaking into his girlfriend's home and attacking her and her father, The Hour reported.

Jose Dominguez was also charged with risk of injury to a minor, criminal violation of a restraining order, third-degree burglary, third-degree strangulation, criminal mischief and second-degree threatening, The Hour said.

Officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest in a home on Neptune Avenue, police told the Hour.

Dominguez broke into the 15-year-old girl's bedroom and choked and threatened her, police told the Hour. After her father stepped in, Dominguez punched him in the face, reported The Hour.

Dominguez was arraigned at the Norwalk Superior Court on Wednesday and is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 23.
