Wake Held For Yonkers Major League Prospect

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A wake service was held Wednesday for Michael Nolan, the Yonkers Major League Baseball prospect, who was killed in a drive-by shooting, according to WestchesterNews12.com.

Hundreds of people gathered to remember the 23-year-old who was shot last month outside a Burger King parking lot near the Cross County Parkway, said WestchesterNews12.com.

Nolan spent three weeks fighting for his life at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx before passing away last week. His funeral is scheduled to take place today at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Yonkers, reported WestchesterNews12.com.

An investigation is ongoing and police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, said WestchesterNews12.com.
