YONKERS, N.Y. - Michael E. Camperlengo, a lifetime resident of Yonkers, died Jan. 5. He was 69.
Camperlengo was born April 30, 1944, in Yonkers, to Vito and Ida Camperlengo. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a computer engineer for IBM for 34 years.
Camperlengo is survived by his wife, Francesca (nee Troiano); chidlren, Michael (Michele) and Victoria (John) Yilmaz; three grandchildren; brother, William (Rosemary); sister, Kathleen Hallinan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Jan. 7 and Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY (914)-375-1400. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Christ the King Church followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
