YONKERS, N.Y. - Manuel Cardoso died June 27. He was 87.
Cardoso was born July 21, 1925, in Portugal to Jose and Rosa (Andrade) Cardoso. He was a tailor working for Lubins Mens World in Yonkers for many years making suits for bishops and other notables.
Cardoso is survived by daughters, Rosa ( Jose) Ferreira, Helena (Antonio) Ferreira; four grandchildren; sister, Ana Lopes; and brother, Francisco Cardoso. He was predeceased by his wife, Angelina; sisters, Patrocina Dacosta, Joaquin Paulinho; and brother, Antonio Cardoso.
Calling hours are Friday, June 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at St. Anthony's Church with interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
