MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Madeline Marinelli Depole of Baldwin Place, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers, died on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, after a brief illness. She was 93.
Madeline was born in Colledimezzo, Italy, on Jan. 15, 1920, to the late Camillo and Domenica (Giannini) Marinelli. She immigrated to the United States when she was 4 years old.
Along, with her husband and family members, they ran the Baldwin Place Farm in Mahopac since 1962. There she began many friendships that would last generations. She was known as the "Cherry Lady" to so many due to her generosity and warmness.
Madeline was predeceased by her devoted husband, Domenick, to whom she was married to for 62 years. She is survived her her daughter, Jean Giordano, son-in-law, Joseph, son, Carl Depole, and daughter-in-law, Tina. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gino D'Ippolito, and sisters-in-law, Teodora and Teresa D'Ippolito.
She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Lew and Jean Marinelli, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Anthony Simonetti and her brother-in-law, Nick D'Ippolito.
Visiting hours will be at Clark Funeral Home, Yorktown Heights, on Sunday, Jan. 4, from 2-7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Jan. 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Stone Church in Yorktown Heights, with internment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
