Helen Garnto, 83, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Helen Garnto of Yonkers died Oct. 8. She was 83. 

Garnto was born April 13, 1929, in New York City. She married Cordie Garnto on Aug. 1, 1962. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Mary) Haran and Bruce (Elizabeth) Garnto; a daughter, Christine Garnto; and six granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Cordie.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
