YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man was arraigned on one count of second-degree murder on Thursday after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, according to Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.
Nathaniel Grant, 49, was found by police walking down Warburton Avenue on April 1 naked and covered in blood. He had also sustained multiple multiple punctures and lacerations on his stomach, legs, arms and hands, the district attorney said.
Police learned that he had come from an apartment located on Glenwood Avenue. When they entered, they found 56-year-old, Carol Finch, the defendant's girlfriend, dead from stab wounds to the heart, lungs and liver, the district attorney said.
Grant was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
If convicted Grant faces 25 years-to-life in prison, the district attorney said.
